Master Cleanse Recipe
Stanley Burroughs' Master Cleanse Diet recipe is pretty simple. For one glass of lemonade you need:
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice. Burroughs recommends organic lemons, fresh, not bottled juice.
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup. This must be pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup. Burroughs recommends the darker Grade B.
- 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Burroughs insists that cayenne chili pepper be used.
- 1 glass of Water. Burroughs recommends a 10-ounce glass of purified water
2 Tablespoons + 2 Tablespoons +1/10 teaspoon + 10 ounces
Lemon juice Maple syrup grade B Cayenne pepper Water

Mix the ingredients in this recipe to make one glass of lemonade. Drink 6 - 12 glasses of lemonade every day for 10 days.
Also you need to complement the diet with:
- Laxative herb tea. every night before going to sleep.
- Internal salt water bathing solution every morning (two teaspoons of uniodized sea salt dissolved in a quart = 1 liter of lukewarm water).
- Water as much as you need
Burroughs outlines a gentle approach for coming off the diet without upsetting your digestive system excessively.
Nothing else. No other foods or juices or smoking or coffee. Simple, isn't it? Not quite so. Few get to the 10 day finish line.

"This program is unbelievable !"
"I feel better than I've felt since I was eighteen years old. I've just completed the Master Cleanse for the first time. I'm not sure how I missed your program, since I've undertaken almost every diet/cleanser available. But this is definitely the best. ...On the second day I was on the Master Cleanse, I called my daughter who also began the program. She feels the same. We both plan to incorporate the Master Cleanser into our lifestyles."
Thank you. Dr. Venetta Whitaker
Beyonce Knowles announced on the Oprah Winfrey show that she had lost 20 pounds on the Master Cleanse to prepare for her starring role in the new film Dreamgirls. New York Times, December 10, 2006
"This wasn't about weight loss," says Robin Quivers (Howard Stern Show ), who traces her health problems to steroid-based medication that she took in 1989 to regulate her menstrual cycle, "I was really trying to regain my health, and that's what it did."
People Magazine, April 2004
Dr. Charles Goodrich of the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City: "People don't realize that the chief obstacle to fasting is overcoming the cultural, social and psychological fears of going without food. These fears are ingrained. . . .However, fasting is not starving, not even in a medical sense or the natural sense."
Dr. George F. Cahill, Jr., of the Harvard Medical School, has noted that 'man's survival [of long abstention from food] is predicated upon a remarkable ability to conserve the relatively limited body protein stores while utilizing fat as the primary energy-producing food.
Dr. Rai Casey : "I had a medical practice for 20 years in NYC, supervised hundreds of long fasts, and I found that the physical healing or weight loss was but a pleasant side effect. What really happened is that the person got in touch with their higher self, their true self, and came to the experience that healing can take place at every level, simply by letting go and allowing Mother Nature to do her work".

Why the hype about it with Beyonce and all the others?
